Mr. Garcia served our country proudly in the United States Armed Forces during WWII. He was stationed in different areas of some which include: Hawaii, Philippines, and Okinawa. He was then honorably discharged from the Army on January 23, 1946 and went on to settle and live in Laredo. He will be greatly missed by his family. Jose Juan Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Demetrio and Otila Garcia; sisters, Hortencia Garcia, Angelina Garcia-Botello, Rosa Flores; sister-in-law, Ernestina Garcia-Garcia; brothers-in-law, Alejandro Cavazos, and Heriberto Arce. He is survived by his wife, Hortencia Arce-Garcia; sister, Aurora Garcia Cavazos of Laredo, and brother, Hector Garcia of San Antonio; sisters-in-law, Audelia (Richard) Vaughn of Laredo, Leonor Arce Sansoni of Mississippi, and brother-in-law, Jose Leonel (Maria de Lourdes) Arce of Laredo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
