To Bebe and the Alexander extended family:
One of Turi's gifts to all he met was the way he made them feel, even before he said a word, and I think his eyes actually led his famous smile. He was a good friend of my brother Bobby, who also made a rather sudden exit fifteen years ago. While the ubrupt passage makes it difficult to believe what just happended and to adjust, time will help, and time will come. Linda, Joseph, Nicholas and I will keep you all in our thoughts. The holiday season will be brightened that much more by the memory and vision of Turi smiling once again.
Pete Vazquez - December 7, 2011

Elisa Gutierrez - December 7, 2011
Dear Alexander Family, Our condolences to you on the sudden death of our primo Turi. Era un" Angel de Dios", such a warm, caring man, he always made you feel special. My brother Tito considered him a brother he never had. The very last time I saw him, we were at Subway. He was telling me about his children and how proud he was of them." Esto muy orgulloso de ellos",and said it with the biggest smile on his face . My continued prayers to the family and for Turi, for he will be guiding you through this earthy journey. Sorry, I couldn't be with you during this time but my husband did attend the Mass. God bless you!
Alex & Lisa Ramos - December 7, 2011
Bebe, John and Mary Frances, our deepest condolences to you all on the loss of our beloved "Turi." The world lost a great man. Turi was a great friend to Alex. When Alex suffered his stroke, Turi and Bill were there always. Lunch with Turi and Bill is what Alex looked forward to most when in Laredo. He will be greatly missed, but Alex, AJ, Fred and I are better people for having had him in our lives. He was all smiles....always! We will hold you in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Manuel Arechiga Jr - December 7, 2011
Bebe, Cori and I are so sorry and shocked to hear the news. Turi was going to outlive all of us. I told him that so many times, as he relaxed on the sofa in my office. He was everyone's Best Friend. Our lunch buddy, travel buddy, trip to Mexico body guard, Spur fan buddy, Carne asada partner and on and on and on. But most of all a heck of a dad and a husband. What an example! He sure left some big shoes to fill, but left behind a perfectly raised son and daughter to fill them and I'm sure they'll do a heck of a job.
We are so sorry we lost contact with you all, since our move up to DFW, and sure hurt not having the opportunity to be there with you and your family. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. We loved Turi and will dearly miss him. Our sincerest condolences and please let us know if we can do do anything for you and the kids.

Linda Cuellar - December 8, 2011
Dear Mrs. Alexander,
I lived a block away from Ricky and Turi from 1961-1973 when I went away to college. We neighbors loved the Alexanders and the boys were good sports and great fun to play our games, from softball to dodge ball, Peps, Aida, myself, Carol and Turi and Ricky spent many hours playing and laughing as we grew up. The boys' mother Aurora was so generous with gifts for birthdays and graduation. I remember so well the kind and gentle nature of both boys. I'm sorry for your loss and that of the entire family, as well as Ricky's. God Bless You and give you strength. Your friend, Linda Cuelar
Silverio Bosch - December 8, 2011
Dear Bebe & family, and Ricky & family, I was truly saddened to hear the news. Being seated behind Turi for many years/classes ( alphabetical order) at the old St. Joseph's Academy, we became good friends and "buds". Those are many pleasant memories from a bygone era while growing up in Laredo. Your folks were also so nice to my folks, and I'm sure that wonderful legacy has been passed on to the current Alexander generation. May God bless you all, and may Turi's memory continue in all of those whose lives he touched. Sincerely, Silverio, Lisa, Matthew, and Eric Bosch.
Robert Allen - December 8, 2011

Turi, friend to all. it's sad, being overseas i've missed many things but do know that even though we'd not seen each other in decades your kindness, warm abrazos and smile were always appreciated and made it seen like we'd just hung out in highschool just yesterday. its been, it seems, forever since St Joe and Laredo. you never looked the other way to any of your classmates or anyone you met as your heart was kind that way. although we can't be there, we share your heavy hearts and wish you all the very best. como siempre, BENDICIONES.

Bebe, I'm sorry I couldn't talk the night of the wake. I was really choked up though. I don't know if Turi told you or not, but the last two years of Kenny's basketball and baseball careers at AHS, Turi went to almost all of the home games (and some of the playoff games too)! We sat together so many times, and he always had positive comments about my son. He was a good friend and I really got to know him these last two years. I am going to continue his trend and go to many of the home games. As I sit and watch and cheer, I will think of Turi and miss those special times! May God bless you and the family and bring a peace to you all!
